Bold Foundation was born from the leadership journey of its President and Founder, Charman Postel.
Her journey began unexpectedly when she joined her first son's (PTA) Parent Teacher Association simply to support him. What started as a small act of involvement quickly turned into a life-changing opportunity when she was invited to serve as Vice President — despite having no prior leadership experience.
At her first meeting, she was introduced to the language of governance: quorum, motions, Robert's Rules of Order. It was overwhelming, unfamiliar, and intimidating. But instead of stepping back, she chose to step forward.
Charman committed herself to learning everything she could about leadership and organizational structure. She attended trainings, studied governance, and immersed herself in leadership development until confidence replaced uncertainty.
Through that experience, she realized a powerful truth: many capable individuals are never given the tools, training, or encouragement to lead effectively. That realization became the foundation for Bold Foundation, Inc.
Joined her son's PTA as a parent volunteer — a small act of involvement.
