Founded in 2019 by Charman Postel, The Bold Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building opportunity for leaders daily. Inspired by her lived experience as a first-generation college graduate, homeowner, and business owner, Charman launched the Foundation to bridge the opportunity gap for youth and emerging leaders from underserved communities.

While the organization was established just before the pandemic, grassroots efforts began in 2021—driven by a mission to close generational leadership gaps and create equitable access to education, career development, and leadership.

At Bold, we believe that strong education leads to strong communities—and strong communities build thriving businesses.

Through cross-sector collaboration, we deliver innovative programs that empower young people to lead with confidence, compassion, and purpose. Our initiatives include:

• Leadership summits
• Mentorship and intergenerational networking
• College and career readiness programs
• Scholarships and seasonal giving campaigns
   

We work alongside schools, businesses, and community partners to provide youth with access to the tools, networks, and real-world experience they need to succeed—regardless of race, gender, age, or background.
